Hello Experts.

Hana is comming!!!!

i got some questions.

1) Does Hana need a persistente memmory ( hard disk) to replicate de data from OLTP/OLAP system?

a) imagine I have my SAP ECC 50 terabytes. I need to have the 50 terabyes also to in HANA? or

its replicate with compression like 5% - 20% of compression to hard disk ? or go straight to memmory, ( im lil confused)

b) how long its take replicating? or its like ... replicate whole, then start with deltas (as sap bw) ?

btw.. which is the FLOW! ( without Data Services tecnology)

2) What is the role of SAP HANA consultant ? is there any role? which would be main activities? example.

what gonna happen to bw guy? which skills we need to have? its worth it ?

3) Buying HAna maybe is not very cheap.... If I need to make the Development-QUality-Production enviroment. I need to buy 3 appliances? imagine one appliance cost around 150.000.. i need do buy 3 ?

4) Can I replicate differente OLTP's in one appliace? and work sametime?

for examploe, i can replicate the ECC, then i replicate a SRM or SCM.. in same? its possible?

5) Does SAP HANA 1.0 modeller software can run in one normal server XEON ? just for test purposes?
