extract data for classfcation object populated CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJEC

How do we extract data for classification characteristics for material / batch which are not populated in CA*N tables?

There is a BAPI CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS which populates some of these characteristics and the 1cl** extractors bring no values for these characteristics to BW . How do we extract this data?
