Hi All,
The UNIX team wants to move all oracle file systems to a different structure.
For example
/oracle/<sid>/sapdata1
will become
/usr/customer/data/oracle/<sid>/sapdata1
I am looking for information on advantages or disadantages in changing the file system structure. Any information on his is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Nagarjun.
Hi,
I think you are talking about file system volume name change not file system name. If it is right then ask your OS team why they want to change it. I don't see any benefit in changing the name.
Thanks
Sunny
