News iView - NewsBrowser Layout and css not found

Hello,

I am experiencing HTTP 404 errors when rendering news with iViews set to NewsBrowser Layout in several boxes. In each News item rendered in the news list I have a reference to a style sheet named /wcm/docs/etc/xmlforms/controls_ie5.css which does not exist.

Where does this reference come from? Has anybody seen the same problem?

I have not customized anything. Just using default settings of EP6 SP2 Patch 4 install.

I am probably missing some configuration step but can't figure out where.

if someone still watches this topic:

we have the same problem, but re-generating of the project did not help. In the source the style sheet /wcm/docs/etc/xmlforms/controls_ie5.css is still used.

Any ideas?

Hi Vitaliano,

go to Content Management/ XML Forms Builder; select your news project and only generate and save it once again. Then automatically the right stylesheet will be use and you can check that in the source code of your Newssite, that the correct new stylesheet is used (the old one (controls_ie5.css) will get overwritten).

Your tip worked. It now generates a totally different HTML fragment and does not link to those files anymore.

Would be interesting to know why default News xmlforms delivered with EP6 do not work.
