Hi,
We will upgrade DP from SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0. I just want to know if I can use the transport orders or is it better to reconfigure all again in the new version?
Thanks a lot!
777,
??? Neither!
If you already have DP in production, then you need to follow the standard upgrade steps. If you are not a Basis admin, your only participation in the actual upgrade will probably be to validate and activate any existing enhancements and custom programs that exist in your current 5.0 system. These will by default be 'inactive' in your upgraded system. Usually, functional or technical consultants will also participate in unit, integration, and acceptance testing of the upgrade, within the quality system.

If the only module you have implemented is DP, then you may be able to get away with only upgrading 'SCM server' and 'Livecache'.
For upgrade guides
http://service.sap.com/instguides Then SAP Business Suite Applications > SAP SCM > SAP SCM Server Using SAP SCM 7.0 Server. Read every doc if you have nothing better to do. Or, just talk to your Basis guys for details of how the upgrade will be done. They will be the ones who will be doing the brunt of the 'non-testing' technical work.
