Call JAVA API in SAP PO

I have a requirement to call the JAVA API from SAP PO. Could anyone explain how to connect JAVA API from SAP PO and provide the steps.

Thanks for your reply. I have to use JAVA API to connect receiver system with SAP PO. Could you please let me know how to use JAVA API to connect PO system with receiver system.
