how to remove the "Parameter Panel" in CR 2008?

Hi,

I just upgraded my CR from 10.5 to 2008 version. In 2008 version, it always gives me a "parameter Panel" in the left window. I do not need the parameter window. My question is: how to programmatiocally remove that?
