Number range object not found during planned order conversion

Former Member

Hi gurus

I am converting my planned order into a process order on MD04 when sap gives me an error message saying "Number range object not found". I have tried manually creating a process order for the same material and I get the same error. I can create orders for other materials

What could be the problem?

Hi all

I have found the sources of my error. The production scheduler and the production scheduling profile are causing the problem. I think I may need to create new configs for them

Hi Obie,

I am getting in Process order numbering. Number range object for Process Orders have been defined in CO82.

Suddenly some process orders have different naming 14XXXXXX instead of 72XXXXXX.

I would like to know how Production scheduler and Scheduling profile affected your case.

Thanks.

Maintain Production order number range. Go to CO82 T-code.

Hi Jainashu

I have maintained the number ranges for my process order and my planned orders as well but I still seem to encounter the same error. Please help

Hi Villamosa,

Please go to CO82 T-code and go edit group and assign order type to defined group(which defined by you).

Hi,

Number ranges must be created before hand..

--The customization Transactions are: --

Define Number Ranges for Planning Run - OMI2

Define Number Ranges for Manual Processing - OM13.

Best Regards,

Siva

My mistake:

Refer below link for creation of number ranges for Process/Production Orders..

http://sivasappp.blogspot.com/2008/03/how-to-assign-number-range-to.html

Before that, maintain Customization Settinsgs in the Transaction: OPPE.

Regards,

Siva

Hi Siva

I have maintained the number range for the orders. I can create and convert orders for all other materials except this one. Is it possible that the material affects the number range of the order?
