Handeling packed decimal in sap pi

Hi PI Gurus,

I am very new to SAP PI. I have 2 scenarios:

1) Target system is accepting the data in Packed decimal format.

2) Source system is sending the data in Packed decimal format.

Can you tell me as how to handle these scenarios in PI.
