Retrieve DTP with the ID

Hi Gurus,

I am working in BI 7 version of SAP BW.

I was trying to resolve a issue and changed the setting in the DTP 'UPDATE' tab to 'Valid Records Update, No Reporting(Request Red)' and clicked on 'Create Error DTPs' and after the work is done. I deleted the DTP that has the description 'Error DTP:XXXXX' .Afterwards I reliazed that the existing DTP has a different techincal ID . This is done in the production environment and the ID is different in DEV and QA. Can anyone please give me a solution to retrieve the deleted DTP, without re transporting from DEV?

Thanks

Prasad

HI ,

The Technical name of a DTP differs in different system environmrnts ( DEV , QA, PROD ) , It is a normal

behaviour of the BI system , You can use the same DTP here , you need not worry about the difference

in the tech name of the DTP

Thnaks for your reply.

In the update tab it was 'No Update,No Reporting' and the Version was Active and green. But now I can't change it back.

It is now green and active but the error Handling now shows 'Valid Records Update, No Reporting (Request Red)'. How can I change it back to 'No Update, No Reporting'? I tried to change it and save it but it is then showing Version Revised and is yellow. Please suggest.

Thanks

Prasad

hi,

if you want to see the request ID generated by DTP you can see it in RSBKREQUEST table

Hi Prasad ,

You can check table RSMONICDP and RSICCONT for details of DTP in SE11 .If you have executed the DTP you will find details there .

HI Prasad,

creating and deleting a error DTP, the technical ID of the original DTP never changes.

In this case, you don't have to worry about the DTP tech id as long as the delta data is fetched properly.
