SAP B1 881 - an unhandled win32 exception occurred in upgrade.exe [3772]

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade a db from version 800238 (2007 SP01 PL13) to version 881312 (881 PL04) and the upgrade allways fail giving the error «an unhandled win32 exception occurred in upgrade.exe » and it opens the debugger.

If i debug it, it shows the message «Unhandled exception at 0x103bfba3 in Upgrade.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0xfffffbc4.»

I've upgraded other dbs from other versions.

What can be the problem?

Best Regards

Paulo Serol

New version works with 2008 easily. I am not sure OS 2003 and SQL 2005 is ok or not. Your .Net framework seems too old too. Double check all available document. To me, your system configuration prevents the installation completion.

Hi Paulo Serol,

Welcome you post on the forum.

Have you checked the documentation to see if this PL supports upgrading from your version?

Thanks,

Gordon

Yes the PatchReadMe refers to SAP 2007A SP01 PL14 and lower.

Also the database has no validation errors.

I've runned dbcc Checkdb with no errors.

Also the error doesn't occur on the same table everytime.
