GL account setting in FS00

Former Member

Hi,

My Client have created GL accounts in Production/QA Server. I want to check the sanity of these GL accounts meaning I would like to verify whether they are created with correct properties or not. For eg GR/IR Clearing account should be 'Open item managed' & 'Line Item Display', Main Bank Account should not be 'Open Item Managed' etc.

Is there any sample CoA, with all the properties or is there any way that I can validate the properties/settings of the GL accounts like whether it should be 'Open Item Managed' or 'Tax category' should be *.

I know there is no standard settings that is applicable to all the organization. It varies from client to client. However, more or less it is same across organizations.

Please advice.

Regards,

Sanjay

Hi Stacy,

The t-code suggested by you gives the output of existing settings. What i am looking for is what settings an GL account should have.

No doubt the t-code provided by you is very good in terms of analyzing the existing GL accounts.

Sanjay

Hi,

Though there are certain rules how these or those accounts should be defined, there are no 'golden' settings which will be correct for every project. Therefore, your request is not functional.

Hi,

Run this report S_ALR_87101048 in two different sessions and compare the G/L accounts for two chart of accounts - 1. Your chart of account with the G/L accounts defined by you and 2. the standard chart of account for standard SAP company code delivered by SAP (check OB62 to get the std. SAP company code and its COA). Hope that helps.

Hi,

You have to use IN01 company code and in this acse you need to refer the FI building block of SAP, which has suggested some changes to IN01 company accounts.
