InfoView Customization

Hi Experts,

We are on SAP BO XI 3 and are using Universe, WebI for User ad-hoc reporting needs. Since the BI InfoView Interface is not intuitive enough especially when it comes to bringing new Users on board the new product, we are looking to customize the look and feel of the same. Would it be possible to just have the User see minimal instead of intimidating him with technical details. Our requirement is to have the User on login see a list of Universes to which he has access to, with the option to only create new queries/run & download saved queries. Also the BI InfoView must be customized to conform to corporate UX stds. which would account for corporate logo, banner etc.

Hi Priya,

To customize the Infoview, use the preferences on the infoview homepage.

Also Go to CMC,

> Select Access Levels menu

- Create a new Access Level or Copy existing Access Level

- Right Click and select include Rights to the profile that you create/copy before.

- You can view the list all rights that been granted by filter it.

In terms of including the corportate logo,

C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\InfoViewApp\

and modify the logon.jsp file.
