Posting stock entry in previous period

Dear Friends

Can anyone pls tell, whats the how to post stocks in previous period.? Eg: previous month or previous quarter.

Hello,

While posting stock you can keep Document Date in Previous Period & Posting date as current date.

But if you need the actual Posting Date in Previous Period / Quater there is a process of re-opening closed MM Periods.

This process is not-recomended by SAP as it involves removing the assignment of Plants from Company Codes & other settings.

You can any search the forum on Re-opening closed MM Period, but advise would be to let MM Consultant look in to this issue.

For post goods issue of outbound delivery document change the posting date after ensuring with the MM responsible person that the required period has been opened.
