Hi All,
Is there any other advantage for standarad variants compared to normal transaction variants other than you dont have to create a separate transaction code (of type variant transaction) to run the transaction??

Hi Teenu,
in general: no. But the main advantage is the change of the behaviour of the standard T-code. So all jumps between standard transactions will work with customer-design.

Hey thanks for the response.
But still i have this doubt regarding the main advantage you were mentioning .Please correct me where i go wrong
*You can still create normal transaction variant with sap tcodes.and all those jumpings with standarad transactions are possible with normal transaction variants.arent they?? only difference i could see is that,if i create standarad variants,i don't have to create a new t-code.

Hi Teenu,
I have the feeling, you have a correct understanding... but of course, that's difficult to say.
Let's put it in completely other way: You create some variants with SHD0 and might assign a Z-tcode. If you have a favourite, you can define a default variant, which is also chosen every time the standard tcode is used. Somehow: standard variant = default layout.
