Question on data tracking.

Hi,

I am preaparing for c_bowi_30 exam. There is a sample question on SAP website:

1. You need to create a report that compares data to a reference data set. You create the report and activate the track data option. The report correctly indicates the changes in the data; however when you make another change to the report, the display no longer indicates any data tracking.

What actions could have caused this behavior?

Note: There are 2 correct answers to this question.

a) You drilled outside the scope of analysis.

b) You activated query drill mode.

c) You added a report break.

d) You added a chart to the report.

The correct answer is A and B which I am not able to understand at all. What is the link between data tracking and drilling?

Can any one please explain?

Thanks for your help.

Kind Regards.

Webi can track the data only when the query remains the same.

In Option A and B we are drilling outside the Scope of Analysis which alwas change the query if you choose uot of scope analysis option. Same with the Activated Query Drill Mode.

Adding report block or chart will not change anything on Query.

So if you made changes mentioned in the Option A and B the display no longer indicates any data tracking.

But if you made changes mentioned in the C and D webi still display the Dta Tracking.
