Assignment of Personnel Area to Company Code

If at all possible, do not change the allocation of company code to personnel area once your system is productive. If this should still prove to be necessary, the organizational allocations of the employees involved must also be adjusted. Report _RPUP0001_ does this.

This report will only used when you have changed your Company Code and personnel area assignment. Controlling area and company code assignemnt from the back end Configuration. to change the master data in IT 0001. But if assignment does not changed then you cannot use this report. You know we can not change company code in IT 0001 that is the reason if needed for mass change because when we move one personnel area to new comapny code.

Hope you understand. For routine company code changes or any infotype 0001 changes you use ORG reassigment or any customized action.

My requirement is to change 100 employyees personnel area to another company code

Scenario:

Now we have 2 compnay codes CCode 5000 & Company Code 6000

Now employees allocated to both company codes, for some FI posting related issue swe need to put all the employees under company code 5000.

Also we had run payroll for last 3 months till march 2011.will it affect payroll?

so if I change PA - Ccode assignment and run this report will it work fine

No the report will not work in this case

All you have to do is upload the employee data for the back end date and run the retro payroll

Hi All,

This report is superb,

when i changed the Personnel area assignment for 6000 to 5000 company code and when i run this report , its updating for those employees, but my doubt is will it affect my last 3 months payroll , will a carry foreward or retro comes in April payroll

Hi,

Changing company code from the past periods for which payroll and post payroll activities are done, is quite risky from the tax calculation and prospective. I am not sure about the country version you are using, but check the impact before you are using it.

This report is used to change master data in infotype 0001. Normally we cannot change certain fields directly from PA30 so we use this report to do that but off course keeping constraint of assignment intact.

Names some time if you want to enter in different language.

If there is not report why cant you create an LSMW or BDC for Action Organisational Assigment where the employee can change the company code

You need to convince your users by explaining the use of report. It is not used to change company code for employees

Report RPUP0001 adjusts the changes made in system due to personnel area change or company code attribute change.

organizational allocations of the employees i.e values in IT0001 will be effected if there is change in PA or company code. To adjust the impact of change we execute report RPUP0001.

This report will not help you if you want to change compamy code for employees. You need to run an action to do so.
