SendGovernor stuck

Hi -

We are currently on SAP BPC 5.0.477, SQL 2005 SP2. I realize these are old versions and working to rectify that. We are also actively looking to tune our environment until we apply any necessary patches.

Our SendGovernor service hangs quite often. It's usually resolved with a restart of the service. In reading several tuning documents, I've noticed there's several BPC system parameters that can help with this:

THREAD_MAXNUM_SG

INTERVAL_CHECK_SEND

MAXCELLS_THREAD_SG

UNITPER_SP

We have not tuned or even set any of these parameters. Our environment is about 50 users, no more than 15 or so concurrently at any given time, maybe about 10 inputing data at one time.

To apply these settings, is it just an insert into tblDefaults?

Thanks much-

Sue

My apologies, I see that these parameters can be configured from web admin page - Appset parameters.

Anyone have any other suggestions on the settings other than what's documented in the 5.x Performance & Tuning Guide?
