ESS overview page customization issue

Hi all

I am customizing ESS overview page, want to add Appraisal(BSP appl HAP_DOCUMENT) link as a area in the overview page,

I added area and subarea and then when i want to add a service it is giving that V_T7XSSSERSRV the table does not contain the entry.

So here my question is do i need to make an entry in the table which inturn will allow me to create an service.

or else please suggest me how to add Appriasal as AREA in overview page.

Hi all

Thank you guys for your reply i followed a doc in which i can create a custom area, but i am encountering a new problem

now the custom area is opening in a new window, I checked the the property open in PORTAL CONTENT AREA is there and i also did personalization in which there is a radio button i also checked that one, now i am unable to figure out what is the problem and why is the custom area Opening in new window.

Hoping i can figure it out quickly with your support.

there is a property set in table V_T7XSSSERRES for window, Please check it

Hello

First you identify the Area which you intended to add.

1) Findout or Create your Resource (Example Appraisal)

2) Create new Service or existing one give the link of above resouce.

3) Assign above service where you want add like SubArea or Area.

Resource -> Service -> SubArea -> Area -> Group Page this way you need to follow.
