EHS-SAF: Automatic report shipping of Inbound documents

Hi ,

I am trying to send a report from CVD1. The status is changed to IW and report is not distributed.

I am not getting any error but the status of the report is not changed. It seems like the spool is not generated. WWI server seems it is running but doesn't receive any call.

I cannot trace the problem, since report rcvdeven job log doesn't give me any information.

Hi Joni,

Did you have look at the Flowtrace of the report shipment entry in CVD1?

If you do not get any error messages from WWI please increase the WWI log level - that should give you some indication what is going wrong.

I would assume that the following error is occurring:

I think your inbound MSDSs are most likely PDFs. In order to print these PDFs WWI needs to "convert" the PDF file to a postscript or PCL file which is then send back to the R/3 spool.

You can test if this process is working by doing the following:

Right click on a PDF file on the WWI server and choose print. If this is not working this is the root cause of your error.

There are OSS Notes for WWI PDF Printing - please read and apply the changes described in there.

Hi Mark,

I am trying to send PDF documents.

I guess no request is going to WWI, because logs are clear.

I tested the printer inWWI and it seems it is ok.I am able to print a pdf from WWI server.

The Flow trace stays at in work.

Strange....

I assume your generation request show up in CG5Z?

While your in CG5Z - can you do a connection test of the WWI Server?

Can you send / ship normal MSDS / SBRs / are the WWI Josb set up correctly (RC1WWIDP and RC1WWIWP) for your system and client?

Hi Mark,

My requests does'nt go to CG5Z.

But standard MSDS request go there.

And the program RCDEVEN runned only 2 times, but I suppose it should run 3 times for inbound documents.

Hi Joni,

If it doesn't show up in CG5Z - it doesn't go the WWI server - so that explains that

If this is the first time you're sending IBDs - or you upgraded your SAP System:

I think you are missing Report Shipment Customizing.... Check for the document type and IBD and check for PDF file type in the various settings. DMS settings might be wrong to.

If all doesn't help - debug RCVDEVEN by setting it to sheduled and run it manually from SE38....

As explained by Mark, Please ensure to check the DMS settings of document types for IBD for Report shipping category.

In the CVD1 t-code, the final report column has a Windows message attached saying:

Error opening file resfil0.val

Do you have any idea, what might be wrong?
