Empties Management

Hi SAPiens

If anyone has worked on configuration of Empties Management either in Food or Beverage Industry, then kindly tell me, what are the configuration settings are needed to setup Empties Management.

Also, there is transaction code /BEV1/EMS - which standard TCode, when it is executed, it suppose to show some entries and also /BEV1/EMLGBSD needs to be updated after commericial invoice is generated.

I am struck up and I am not finding any solution, so I need your help, so that I can check all the config settings.

Your quick response will be highly appreciated.

Dear Mukesh,

Hi

Hope you have done the empties.

I had created a material as Full product with and two empties material with Material Type "LEER".

In material master of main material I have maintained u201CFull productu201D & in sub-item I have maintained Structure in Basic data view 1.

I have maintained BOM with u201C7u201D but while creating Purchase Order, when i entered the full product, but sub items are not coming automatically.

Hi

It looks the scenario is for retail empties not industry empties.

If it is retail empties scenario use Material type as LGUT instead of LEER. In Full product (Basic Data view) activated "with empties BOM".

Note : Assigin empties articles to Full products as component in Basic Data View in Article Master Record (T.code:MM42)

While creating Purchase Order, when you enter the full product, automatically the two components will come automatically.

Hi Dilip,

I have done the similar settings in retail but while creating delivery for STO from DC to Store, I am only getting the delivery for GI of main article but I am not getting any returns delivery created. In VL10B log , I see the error wherein it says system could not find entries in table T184 (item determination) for NL NORM V for PO items of components. Looks strange to me because empties articles have LEIH as the item category group which is maintained in item category determination.

Any clue what could be missing?

Hi Amit

Did you config retrun order setting it is under Purchase order config menu ?

Also check for following point

1> The next step

2 >The component ( Empties ) in PO to be mark as Return

3>Set your entries in ( Retun order config) : Return to vendor

4>Strore return/Return site to site ( For delivery type NLR)

5>Config Logistic executionDeliveries->Delivery item category determination-

Look for delivery type RL & NLR

Thanks for your response. I did the same settings but problem is when I try to create delivery for STO, DC to Store with empties marked as return item, I dont get the delivery created. It goes in endless loop and finally dumps.

So I tried to select the main item separately and empties separately (in VL10D) and executed them twice. I was able to get 2 deliveries, one with main item as standard delivery and another one with empties with return delivery. But this also does not solve the problem as for the standard main item delivery, system does not allow GI because it says quantities are not distributed yet.

My question is - Should system be creating 2 deliveries in VL10B for main and returns item? Is marking the empties as return item in STO is right or all the stock with empties should be received in store together and then empties alone returned with another STO.

Please help.

Hi

The best way just created 2 deliveries main and returns item . In this process you can keep track of all empties with PO qty so the reconciliation of empties is easy & clean process

Are you s still getting error for return delivery ?

Check the vendor as Return vendor in purchasing view .

Hello Dilip,

I am still stuck with this.

I tried another way creating a regular STO, DC to Store with empties. and then received it at store. I was thinking that I can create another return sto for empties and send the items back. Problem with this process is that it does not save empties in stock in the DC to Store STO, and in MMBE quantities of empties stock is zero ofcourse it shows in WBF1.

So when i try to return it then it says there is no stock available in store. Really strange.

I'll try your option with return vendor. Would you have screenshots of your process, as how you are doing or any other document just to get an idea. I can send an email the id maintained in your profile.
