Multiple runs of same BEx query in Webi without merged prompts

The issue we are running into is that we are trying to create a Webi report based on a universe with a BEx Query as the data source. That BEx query contains a customer exit variable for the Fiscal Year/Period. It uses the entered Fiscal Year/Period for MTD data and then it calculates one year prior to create the PY MTD.

What we need to do is create a Webi that runs this same query 12 times but with different input parameters each time. The problem we are running into stems from the fact that we have the Fiscal Year/Period setup as a mandatory prompt in BEx so for each query we create in Webi the prompt looks the same and they are therefore merged. Rather than being able to provide it each year/period combination that we would like it only prompts us once and uses it for each query.

Is there a way to tell Webi to not merge those prompts and instead provide a seperate prompt for each query even though they are named the same?

Hi,

As you said you have put the mandatory Filter in the Bex query and same is replicated in the Universe.

You can do one thing..Go to then universe then condition panel and open the condition (Same Bex filter replicated in the Universe) and unchecked the box "apply on the universe" or class.after this your mandatory filter will out from the universe.

Now you can do apply the same condition in the Webi query level and put the prompt definition different and it will ask ask you every time.

May be this helps you..

Thanks,

Amit
