HR Security - PPOME - Relationship maintainence

In ppome for the position I have created eg: Chief Information officer - I was nt able to move this position to a different org unit however when I look at this A012 relationship in PO13, it appears to have moved the manages relationship even though I got an error message in PPOME.

users were able to move the Manages (A/012) relationship even though moving the Belongs To (A/003) failed as it should.

Do you think this may be due to the fact that it's possible for positions to have more than one Manages relationship with a 12/31/9999 end date? Can we alter the relationship so there can only be one valid record at any given time (similar to the Belongs To)?

You may try altering the time constraint for 1001 - A012 via table V_778U.

Thanks Dilek - I was able to change the relationship time constraints to 1 ( A003 and B003) for A012. However my question is if we do this time constraint as 1 - Should the chief position which is assigned to one org unit is not allowed to move from one org unit to other?

Is that makes sense. ...in this case i was able to move the record although my time constraint is 1.

Any thoughts.
