ORA-01691: unable to extend lob segment SAPSR3DB.SYS_LOB0000060065C00006$$

Hi,

We have an issue in PI. When ever we try to save some object in ESR we are getting brlow error.

"ORA-01691: unable to extend lob segment SAPSR3DB.SYS_LOB0000060065C00006$$ by 8192 in tablespace PSAPSR3DB"

Could some one advise me best way to clean up the database. Its a proto system so we can clean the data by direct method.

Please note that we have archviing and deltion job running.

Could some one please help me in fixing this.

Hi Prasad,

As said you can go for increasing the tablespace and if you really want to deal with the existing database size then check the sap note 872388 and prefer Switch Deletion process to completely drop the table to free the occupied space in database.

For cleaning up the space used by PI system, please use the Archiving and Deletion for the XML messages:

At database level, please run the database reorganization. You can also extend the lob segment at the database, there are no constraints from PI perspective for doing that.
