Refresh data on workbook open - does not work

Hi Experts,

Report schedule does not refresh data when first opened. It does refresh once refresh button is clicked manually.

Workbook options - refresh on workbook open option is ticked .

There are no macros in the report schedule.

I have checked the calculation of native excel option and it is automatic,

I have also restarted the BPC SendGovernor Service.

We are using BPC 7.5 MS

Thank you

Mehul

Related to SAP BPC 7.5 on the MS Platform

I'm quite interested in what both other companies and SAP and other companies have to say on the topic of Refresh on Open not working, especially when used in tandem with EVRTI function.

The EVRTI function returns the last time of refresh. It misreports the time that data was last refreshed when the refresh on open check box is used.

Have people simply been using the open event in Excel to fire a refresh when this functionality is need?

Also, when the right click refresh is used, it appears the opposite problem occurs with respect to EVRTI. Here, the data refreshes but it does not reflect this EVRTI.

Hi,

are you using EVDRE(), if you make report with this BPC function, i think that you must go to Workbook option, "expand on workbook open" - is ticked

Mehul,

It should work.

Please try it from other client first and patch it to latest SP (Which is SP5).

If it still doesn't work, I think you need to open a service ticket.

Thank you.

In the few years subsequent to refresh on open being reported does anyone have a status update on this? has it been resolved?

From my perspective, using MS BPC 7.5 MS refresh on open still appears to be an open item.

Thanks in advance,
