Hi Experts,
I have a 4.6C system and Windows Server and MS SQL Database. I am performing archiving of some objects.
Recently, I have finished Archive and Store for the object and it completed successfully, when I started off with the Deletion Jobs they failed, Job logs showing I/O Error. When I opened the Management tab in SARA, I found out that the sinal is RED, saying "Archive Files are not accessible". How can this happen as Write jobs completed successfully?
Please Note: For the other sessions where Archive, Store, and Deletion Jobs completed successfully, the sigmnal is also red, but arching has been done and data is also been verified for those. Please help.
Hello,
It looks like authorization issue at your window server level. Check Read & Delete access is given to physical file directory.
Write job is completed successfully because Write access is given to write the archive file in physical directory that is configured in file customizing.
-Thanks,
Ajay

Thanks everyone, for your valuable replies. Actually I figured out the issue. This was due to network fault and by virtue of which, the PBS server was not available.

Yes, The CR is running and all permission rights are there.
Moreover, when I look at the folder where the data are written, they seem to be a bit unusual to me.
Let me tell you one more thing, our system is based on MSCS. Couple of days back a Failover occured due to excess server load. Can this crash be a reason for data loss?
You said the store job completed successfully, if thats correct the only cause of "Archive files not Accessible" will be that the CR is not reachable for some reason, now you have mentioned that the Repository is online, but is it reachable?...
The best way to check is to run an EXAMPLE object, check that all the steps are coming clean. Also as Olivier recomended check that the host info is correct in OA0C (Its should give you an error while using the EXAMPLE object if its not right)
Regards
Juan
