Hi All,

When trying to CLOSE a production order that was back dated, I am getting an error, "Date out of reference date range".

Production Order Info:

Order Date: 03/31/11

Due Date: 03/31/11

Posting Period:

Posting Period: From 03/01/11 To 03/31/11

Due Date: 03/01/11 To 03/31/12

I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

If you are using 2007 B or 8.8 the posting period gets locked in this case you have to unlocked that particular posting period.

second case may be if the due date is of next financial year then also this message will come you have to enter all dates within financial year.

For 2005, you need to set default period on the previous date to post anything.

Gordon, Can you please elaborate. Thanks.

You just need to set March as default current period. Then you can close the order.

Gordon,

The error occurs after setting the default posting period to March and then trying to close.

Thanks,

Check you document date setting under posting period.

What is your financial year setting? Is it calendar year or not?

Check these too:
