restart numbering series

When I restart numbering for the new year, this is combined with existing (previous year's) series, and once I add new document for the new year, I see two same numbers one last year's and one new year's number. This is very annoying specially when I want to search. I want to be able to continue from previous year's data but want only the new year data shown on screens. Is this possible???

The only way to get rid of this, is using the Data Archive functionality.

Hi Krishna......

As it is there inside Database so it will be come ar front screen whenever you try to search any particular document even though the last year series is locked......

You can try searching document through No. Series in find mode...........

HI,

you can change the period indicator to the new year for the series so that it will continue from the previous numbers.
