Hi,

I have faced the same issue long back and i have rsolved it......

Just check wheather the live instances of excel are running at backend or not.

GoTo task Manager >> find there any excel.exe files are running or not.

Before doing this process close all the files related to Xcelsius and excel.

After killing the process you can open a Xcelsius file with the shorcut icon and try to choose your file through "OPEN" option.

Let me know if you have any issues.

As far as coming to your Live Office add-in if it is disabled you can go to Excel Options and in the List you can see the lsit of Dis-abled Item in the list box. select it after that say enable.

As far as i know the issue is with the running excel at backend which are not closed properly.

Hope this may solve your issue.

Sounds like the Excel file might be corrupted in some way. Try this:

Rename the xlf extension of the file to .zip. (You will need to have 'hide extensions for known file types' turned off in Windows) Open the zip file, you will see two files.

Take the one called xldoc and add an extension, so it's called xldoc.xls. Double click it to open it in Excel. Does this work? If yes, just try saving the file again, then copying it back into the zip file and renaming it back to just xldoc (with no extension). Save the zip file and name it back to an xlf file.

If the file won't open in Excel, then you might be in trouble. You could try Open Office or Google docs.

Does that work?

Does this hapen for every xlf file or for a single one?

Do you have live office installed? If yes, which version?
