Hello;

How to create a crystal report with grid style?

Currently, I am making the grid with lines, but vertical lines does not end exactly on the last horizontal line. e.g. verticall lines are crossing the last horizontal line and ending position of vertical lines at end of page changes on each page. It must have some simple ways to do it. Please help

Install all CR patches, if still an issue purchase a support case and Rep will log the issue. If it's a bug you can get a refund.

It may help if you format the lines to extend to end of section and they will all be the same length.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

As I did one of cross tab for the purpose of it, I think cross tab is different than nomal table layout. Especially the headers.

Can you give me an example of URL which I can see it is what looks like?

do you have the lines set to extend to bottom section?

the lines will not be exact, never have been. you have to try to be precise. on the vertical lines make sure you dont have extend to bottom section checked off.

Thanks for your advise. Although I tried to be presice. Maybe I shoud make the lines little shorter and try it. Anyway, I was expecting there is a easier way.

Hi Jean,

If you go to File | Options. in the Layout tab there is an option for Snap to Grid. Put a check mark in there to turn it on.

Now your lines will line up in the vertical and horizontal grid and should line up properly.

You can adjust your grid size in the Options window.

Good luck,

Hi Brain/Debi

Thank you for your information. Sounds very good. I did try both of your suggestions. However the vertical lines are still over the last horizontal line at end of page. Good thing is the each page looks the same,

Since my report, the vertcal lines starts from top of detail section to end of group 1 footer section (only on group) , I removed group and vertical lines are only in detail. Then the vertical lines all fit well in the grid.

After this test, I use two set of vertical lines, one in detail, one in group 1 footer,( instead of one vertical lines from detail to footer). now grid looks good enough.

Do you think I can make grid look good by one set of vertical lines from detail to group 1 footer section?
