SAP BOBI 4.2 SP03 patch2 : logon pages error

Hello,

We have installed the patch 2 on top of out BOBI 4.2 SP03 instance.

The J2ee server used is SAP Netweaver JAVA 7.3.

We are not able to connect to the CMC / BI launch pad anymore. It seems like we encounter the problem described in SAP note 2400104. The logon pages can not be used whether for the CMC or the bi launch pad.

I was wondering if by any chance, anyone with the same problem had some information from SAP as to when this will be solved ?

We are currently upgrading the current BO 4.1 landscape to 4.2 so we need this information in order to know if we keep up with our upgrade schedule or if we just cancel this upgrade project. .

Thanks and best regards,

S.SOUMAH.

Well, I did not remove the applications first as SUM is able to deal with the update .

As you can see here , SUM detects source and target apps levels.

The update processes themselves, through setup.sh for the engines part, or SUM for the Java apps part, do not get into any error.

But, right after the update, when I try to access CMC or BI Launchpad, Here is what I've got :

/BOE/CMC : some garbage page that cannot be used to logon ...

/BOE/BI : some source code page that can't be used to logon either ...

I tested on both a 7.3 and a 7.4 SAP Netweaver Java j2ee servers and got the same results.

Best regards,

Steve.

Hello Dennis,

Yes I did it using SUM.

I also tried to deploy the application on another SAP Netweaver Java server , 7.4 this time, but had the same behavior.

Best regards,

Steve.

Did you remove the existing webapps first ?

What exactly is the error you're receiving ?
