Hi All,
In asset accounting if we wants to calculate depreciation for Years & Months we can calculate by getting option in depreciation area tab of asset master record. for e.g If situation is 7 yers & 6 months then yera column we give 7 & period column we give 6.
But if i want to calculate depreciation like 7 years, 6 months & 15 days how to achieve this.
Looking forward for response.

Hi Sandeep
Its not possible.. Useful life can be in Years and Period (Months)... There cant be decimals in the useful life

Hi Sandeep,
I dont think there can be any decent work around for this...
However, you can try to change your dep key to use a Dep % instead of useful life.... You can adjust your dep % rate so that the asset depreciates over Yrs - Months & 15 days.... However, i think its gonna be very difficult to do that
