sapinst fails to run in R/3 4.7 SR1

Hello,

I am trying to install SAP R / 3 4.7 SR1 on AIX 6.1 with DB2 9.5.

When I run . /sapinst the error appears: "The document control control.xml Could Not Be created. Maybe your control file is inaccessible" "The document control based on control.xml Could Not Be Created"

Any ideas?

Obs : Must perform this installation to do a test upgrade ECC6 later.

Hello ,

I solved the problem by setting the variable SAPINST_CONTROL_URL: CONTROL.XML because default is control.xml.

Because the default is control.xml. Thus was not finding the file

Try to execute sapinst from a different directory

mkdir /install
chmod 777 /install
cd /install
<full-path-to-sapinst>/sapinst

Also make sure /tmp has enough space.

R: env etc = did not show anything . My path has = /usr/bin:/etc:

another idea ?
