Hi
If I have an Infoprovider, how can I drill up to see what Authorizations will grant access to that Infoprovider (BI 7.x).
Thanks!
Hi - Does anyone know how to accomplish this question?

SUIM is one step too high. I need to get the data from one level lower. Let me explain it this way.
If my infoprovider is (A)
and Auth Object & Value is (B)
and a Role is (C)
I can use SUIM to show the connections between (B) & (C) but I have to know the what to key into SUIM for (B). The problem is that I do not know (B). I want to be able provide my infoprovider (A) and get back a list of Auth Objects/values (B).

Let's say I have an Info cube ZMY_Cube and it contains confidential data. I want to know what roles will let me get to that cube. It is my understanding that auth objects are assigned to roles and that the auth object has the definition that will control access to the cube. What I do NOT want to do is open up every role defined in the company to see the authorizations assigned to it and then look at all of the authorizations to see what they control. That would be like looking at every leaf in a forest to find the one that leads down to the tree trunk of the cube. What I want to do is do the other way. Knowing the tree trunk, the cube, I want to see what authorizations grant access to the cube and then I can see what roles have that authorization.

Did not clearly understand your question.
But below is a link to a list of BW Authorization Objects that you can use to control access to BW Objects

Hope it was helpful.
