Hi,

When i tried to set the universe connection following error coming

DBD: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name

You should have TNS information detail of you database in your machine. Ask your DBA to give you detail and than you yourself can copy and past those detail in TNS file. You can find the location in

Oracle....\network\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora

Just check if this will resolve your issue.

i presume you have oracle installed on your laptop\pc?

for a next question add some more info system version etc

prop. means you have to add the information of the database connection to your tnsnames.ora file

otherwise the connection has no idea where to look for this database

ask your database administrator for the info needed of that particular database and what to add to the file

and make sure that the tns on the BO-server also has this info to otherwise your exported universes on there will fail when used from infoview
