Segregation of BASIS responsibility and Functional responsibility

Dear Experts

I want to segregate responsibility BASIS (Technical Team) and Functional responsibility (in other word need to understand what falls under BASIS in MDM)

Hi Gajendra,

Basis Activity in MDM can be :

1) Setting up of Hardware environment and helping functional members in analying the hardware requirement

2) Oracle DB Can be installed by Basis team

3) SAP MDM Server and MDM GUI's will be installed by Basis Person

4) Connnectivty between DB and MDM will be set by him

5) All the Server Start/Stop/Restart activity will be done by him

6) MDM servers mounting and unmounting and repository loading and unloading will be done by him or Admin person

7) Troubleshooting and Repository slowing down root cause analysis can be done him

SAP MDM Technical/Funcation Role

1) Repository archieve/unarchieve work

2) Setting up of Data Model

3) Creation of Roles and Users

4) Business Rules set up and mapping them accordingly in MDM System

5) Data Quality and Data Governance mechanism implementation in MDM System

6) Validations and Assignments building.

7) Data Quality or Data Model problem root cause analysis and further change if required.

i dont believe theres any daily job for the basis team to do ..

its the MDM tech guys job to see MDM running, slaves synched , import / export ports not blocked , data replicated from other SAP systems have actually come into MDM etc

if there are issues with the any of these the basis team should be contacted.
