Hi Experts,
I have got doubt in configuration of withholding tax.
Can any one please tell me the difference between business place and section code (that we define in extended withholding tax) and business place (that we configure in cross application component).
Thanks,
SravanK

Hi,
Business Place - Region where WHT accounted for making payment to Government. This facility shifted to MM module in ECC 6.0 version.
Now for FI/CO module - Section Code provided as standard functionality. Your company Head Office is located in Delhi and WHT deductions are happening in your Hyderabad Branch, to seperate Hyderabad branch relevant transactions, Hyderabad Branch users should enter Hyd-relevant section code at each entry. It will help during month end process while making payment to Government at Branch level.
Thanks & Regards

HI Sravan
Business place means where exactly bill booking happens For Ex: Company setup in mumbai and invoice booking happens accross India, then where ever the user enter vendor invoice that place is called business place
if vendor invoice is booking by User from Pune then Pune will be Business place
Section Code means TDS related like 194C, 194J,194i etc...,
but better to create Business place and Section Code same as Compnay Code
