We are facing issue in explode BOM in Sales Order transaction in SAP CRM
1.Main Material for the BOM has been created with Item category LUMF in
ECC & replicated in CRM.
2.Single level BOM is created for this main material in CS01 in ECC
where components are assigned. Item category L is used for the BOM
which are supported in CRM.
3. These get replicated to CRM and when replicated in CRM appear as
list of products linked by means of relationship types in the Service
Parts - ERP Assignment block in product & object data as you can see in
the system.
This is in line with what is mentioned in SAP help at
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/d0/251ac1150f49198dc63a7b1f19d35e/frameset.htm
Bill Of Material are defined as subcomponents
assigned in the component tab in the definition of the product.
We have followed all the steps as per SAP Notes and are able to
successfully download the BOM from ECC to CRM but we are facing the
problem of using it in the sales order. The Bill Of material should be
available in sales transactions wherein it should display the
components of the BOM through product proposals which is currently not
working.

Bussa.

Hi Bussa,
Perhaps you could explain more about the settings that you have in ECC. The CRM & ECC -> CRM data flow looks fine.
If the Material BOM has already been updated via CS01, then why & how should it be copied over to the Sales order in the items? (Production & MRP will run correctly anyway)
You mentioned something about product proposals (in ECC?) doing this, so you might want to look into that.
