I'm a newbie in SAP HR configuration (I used to be in HR ABAP-ing role before) so I need some pointers on where to start and what are the areas need to be taken care of.
Currently there's already one existing company code in the system. My client is setting up a new company code. Current system is SAP 4.7 (will upgrade to ECC 6.0 later) but the implementation is to be done at SAP4.7 first.
They are recruiting new people for this new company code. But there might be a chance that some employees from existing company will be transferred to the new company (I don't know yet how many or how little or whether it is none).
My question is, what are the area effected and need to be setup in order to accommodate this new company?
I've done my research and this is what I found:
- Enterprise structure (Personel Area, PSA). I heard there's no need of a new set of Emp Grp and ESG for the new Comp.
- Time Mgmt (Work schedule and Absence)
- Org Mgmt (job, position, org unit).
- Payroll (now to me, this is a big area and I do not know what are the items inside payroll that will be affected and need to be configured in order for the payroll to run for this new company).
Anything (major/minor) things that I missed here?
I heard house bank need to be setup too.
