MRP process issue

Hi All,

We are using MRP process to create planned order. Then Inventory manager convert planned order to PR using MD15. But some materials it's directly created the PR.

I checked the Transaction MDBT, the variant is setup for creating planned order (3). But for the affected material not even processing through the MRP Batch program. I checked the spool.

How the Material created directly the PR without Inventory manager intervention. Where to check the log ?

Hi, you need to reset variant for MDBT. set "create pur req." to "3" - planned order.

Thanks for response.

But currently the MDBT variant already set in '3'. The MRP process working as expected. But only some material is created direct PR. It shouldn't be happen. Because we set variant to create prod order. It's happen only few materials(Creating PR). That's the issue.

Have you checked MRP type for these materials? or plant parameters like open period?

Yes . We have MRP type configured this materials. Is there any other std program converts into PR other than MBDT.

Thanks Jason. Some of the user accidentally ran manually MD01. By default the parameter set for PR. That's the reason.

What is the detail of MRP type?

Yes, you need to check the create indicator (ESTKZ) of the PR, make sure if it is created by MRP.
