You can develop a report which will pop the list of materials that are due for physical inventory if proper settings are maintained....may be you can use the fields for example like ABC indicators for materials and develop a report..when you run the report it should show all materials with A indicator should undergo physical inventory process after certain number of days.....

Or

May be you can create new transaction code similar to MI31 and add you own criteria field and select the materials accordingly.

HI Expert

I am making my requirement little bit clear to understand.

Suppose i am creating a physical document for 30 April 2011(plan count date ), Now i want a report from system which show me that i had plan a physical inventory for 30 April. let say if i generate report , in that i can see that my Physical Inventory document is pending for the 30 April.

Regard

Transactions MIDO and MI22 should make the request for an own developement obsolete.

Hi,

i use transaction MI24...

If you run a open search (with only your "plant" #) and in the second section called "Status Sel.for"; check of the box for "Phys. Inventory Documents" -> execute, you will be asked for which status you would like to search for... in your scenario you would select "Not Yet Counted"-> press the execute button.

now to see what the planned count date for a inventory document, click on the inventory doc # and then press on the header button (looks like a hat). this will show you all the info you need.

let me know if this works...

How do you automate physical inventory for materials ?

You need to do stock taking physically every month, compare it with system stock,if there is a difference,

then post it using MI07 / MI10.
