Derived Depreciation Area does not have a net book value

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone faced this issue before.

I am trying to create a new depreciation area for implementation of parallel ledger in a New GL migration project.

for certain charts of depreciation I get the following message "Derived depreciation Area 'xx' does not have a net book value" Error Message ACC_AA 044.

The derived depreciation area and the special depreciation area that forms basis for the derived area are both inactive in all asset classes. As such neither the original area nor the derived area are expected to have any value. SAP does not allow saving of the new area and returns the above message.

Please let me know if any one faced a similar issue and how it was resolved.

Hi I requested SAP support on this and it was resolved.

We need to set 'All Values allowed indicator in definition of the affected depreciation area. Posting the update so it may help some one else in the same situation.
