I have a situation where there are application servers that are not configured for load balancing, so the individual hostnames show up in the rwb workbench and under administration - data caches with the direct name. If an application server goes down, the cache refresh links won't work if they are pointing to a server that is down.
Where do you do a refresh to change the URL to an existing server? I'm looking at <hostname>:50<nr>0:/dir and then administration and data caches. I see entries for like "af.<application server hostname>. Where do I refresh to put that to a functional host?
Hello
Is this a PI 7.1x High Availability system? If yes, check note #1052984 Process Integration 7.1 - High Availability and ensure all the required HA configurations are complete.
For more details about the PI caches, see the blog: [Hints about PI runtime cache refresh|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/18180] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];

I would suggest you take a look at the Exhange Profile to set your system parameters such as the host names for the different PI components.
Also make sure your components register with the correct hostname in SLD.
