Outbound idoc via http xml port in WAS 620

hi,

We're using a http xml port to send out idocs. This scenario is working well but we're just wondering how to monitor all this. In case of errors what are the possibilities to reprocess? I did a little research and I my opinion when the http connection in SM59 is ok the trfc queue is used. Hence, if there is a communication problem between sap and the http server, only the idoc is created and has then status 02 'Error sending to port'. If I try to reprocess that idoc in BD87 when the connection is ok again, it doesn't work. I also cannot reprocess the trfc transaction because there is nothing...

What is your opinion about monitoring and error logging in this scenario?

thx,

jeroen

Hi Jeroen

Unfortunately I have the same problem; if you read oss note 701597 it tells you that if idocs result in status 02 with an XML HTTP port they cannot be reprocessed automatically but only manually via a workitem. If you check program RBDAGAIN, you can see that idocs with this status and XML HTTP port are deleted from an internal table.

I am also still looking for a solution...

Sorry, this is not an answare but another question...:

Can you/anyone explain how to send out of SAP an IDOC via XML/HTTP port?

More specifically:

1) How does the IDOC arrives to the external web server

2) In which format?

3) What there should be on the web server to be able to get the IDOC?

Suppose that on the webserver you want to receive the IDOCs from SAP and store them as files on disk. Is it possible?

Many thanks,

Lorenzo
