"Unknown software exception" when using SetDataSource with a dataset

Hi,

I am using CR2008/C# and have a problem on Windows Server 2003 x64 and x86: Whenever I set the datasource of the report to a custom dataset using SetDataSource(), an "unknown software exception" occurs after the application has exited (that is, after the last line of .NET code has executed):

-

Die Ausnahme "unknown software exception" (0xc0020001) ist in der Anwendung an der Stelle 0x7d4c237e aufgetreten.

The report is displayed and exported fine though, and the error does not occur if I do not use the custom dataset. I have tried adding Dispose() calls for the DataSet and CR documnet as well as calling GC.Collect and GC.WaitForFullGCComplete(), but the error still occurs. The issue did not occur on Win7 x64 and WinXP x86 so far. Do you possibly have any advice on this issue?

I read that there may be a lot of problems with DataSets (/people/ludek.uher/blog/2009/03/02/troubleshooting-issues-with-vs-net-datasets-and-crystal-reports), but mine is not mentioned and I also didn't experience any of the other issues.

Best regards,

Florian
