Posting Date Is Different From Current Date

Former Member

Dear Experts,

As far as my knowledge goes I think the SAP date is picked up from the base OS date. In my situation the posting dates are 1 day ahead of the current date(Today) reported by almost all departments, especially Store & Excise Department.

When we change the posting date to today's date, a warning comes up on Status bar. When open the Long text message; it says...

"Posting Date Is Different From Current Date" Error 8I314.

I have checked My OS Date & Time which is correct (+5.30 INDST). I am not able to understand as a BASIS Consultant, that How could I rectify this problem.

Any small help to fix this problem will be much appreciated.

Thanks & Regards in advance.

Hi,

Check SPRO>SAP Netweaver>General Settings>Time Zones

Please note these are cross client settings if some body has changed in any other client it might effect all clients

So please check

Hi Diwakr,

I have checked Time Zone Settings as per your instructions, with no hope.

When I check Status from System menu. I find some unusual setting.

System Time: 12:30:50

Time Zone : INDIA Next to Time zone showing time as 23:30:50

I think it's a problem of AM or PM. Could you please tell me any other work around to fix Time Change issue?

Thanks

Ahsan

Hi Ahsan,

the referred system is probably located in US (Pacific time ?). That is the reason why there is a time difference between your local time (India) and the system time.

The mentioned message is a warning (not an error). I think you need to live with this one.

Hi Nils,

I was advise by few experts that it could be system clock issue. As you said that "The referred system is probably located in US (Pacific time ?)." However our Servers are located in DELHI INDIA.

BTW we have pSeries Servers has AIX as OS. Now could you please let me know if Problem is related to SYSTEM CLOCK then what should be the next step.

Thanks in Advance.
