Hello all,
We are currently in the process of upgrading to SAP GUI 7.2 and we're deploying it via Installation server.
No issues yet (fingers crossed!) with the deployment, however, our first groups of users absolutely hate the "animated focus" feature that is turned ON by default in the Signature theme.
My question is, can I somehow configure the Signature theme, or maybe insert a post-install script in my packages on the Installation server to change this settings behavior to be OFF by default? I was unable to find any information about this in the IS Guide or in any SAP Notes. I would rather not have to send a mass email explaining how to un-tick a checkbox under Theme settings.
Thanks and any advice would be appreciated.
Hi,
Check resolution in note 1561282.
This changes the Gui theme to 'Enjoy' to be the default theme, and without "animated focus", as you want.
If 'Signature Theme' is preferably for users, from my own research - you can create in "Appearance" new DWORD "AnimatedFocus" and set this key as "0".

Hi Mario
As I remember, "HKLM\Software\SAP\General\Appearance\UseSMCRendering", "REG_DWORD", "0"
On 64bit machines you need to be aware that the key needs to be created under "HKLM\Software\Wow6432\SAP\General\Appearance\UseSMCRendering" instead. This activates Enjoy theme as default.

Aleh
