Free form -Search "AND" function not functioning

Hi Experts,

Need Lill help :

Scenerio :If I have 100 data and out of that 25 are approved and 30;s Material Type is FERT.( Qualified fields)

Now my requirement :

I want to know how many items with FERT type are u201CApprovedu201D ?

I Tried : Under search form :

Material Type : Contains : FERT

MDM Status : Contains: Approved

Issue: It is showing me all the data which is approved and NOT u201Cwith FERT type which are u201CApprovedu201D

It seems it is acting like u201C ORu201D and not u201CANDu201D u2026.could anyone please guide me how to resolve this?

In our earlier version 5.5 SP6 it used to work but now it is not working in 7.1 sp6 , I am wondering does anything changed in new version?
