hi everybody,
i have a problem with aa in as02 when i tried to change the business area the system allows it but it transfers the asset with a new document number this is something that we dont want all we want just change the business area thats it. it says the in customizing the business area is not managed as time dependant i wanna know where i can do it.
the error is here;
Asset 1028 2550002053-0 changed - transfer posted with document number 4000000005
Message no. AMOC005
System Response
The change was carried out for Asset 1028 2550002053-0.
The business area and/or the cost center were changed, and according to Customizing settings for this company code, the organizational units 'business area,' 'cost center' and thereby also 'profit center' are not managed as time-dependent. Therefore, the system automatically creates a transfer document with document number 4000000005.
Procedure
The system stored your changes in the database.
Hi,
could you please check your settings in the following customizing point:
CU: FI- Asset Accounting
-> Master Data
-> Specify Time-Independent Management of Organiz. Units

Hi,
I make a conclusion of my research:
1)
CU: FI-AA
-> master data
-> Specify Time-Independent Management of Organiz. Units
In this step, you specify that the organizational assignments "business area" and "cost center" are not managed as time-dependent in the asset master record. This means that it is then not possible to define time intervals for these fields for the assignment to different business areas or cost centers at different times. Once you make this specification, then you can only enter one value for these fields, which is valid in all time intervals.
So, if the asset has already values posted, then field COST CENTER or BUSINESS AREA can not be changed anymore..
2) The already mentioned path:
CU: FI-AA.
-> integration with the general ledger
-> Additional Account Assignment Objects
-> Activate Account Assignment Objects
In there if the field Agree or balance sheet is set and asset has postings, then this value can not be changed.

Dear Farukisin,
most of the time this error message AMOC001 is caused by the settings for asset class, Please check in transaction OAOA for asset class if the status of AUC is set to 'line item settlement'. This means the asset manages open items. If so, the system works as designed.
In this case you can transfer this assets content, mentioned in the issue description, to a new asset with the proper settings.
regards Bernhard
