Life cycle manager in Edge Series

Hi ALL,

Is Life cycle manager part of Edge series or only comes with enterprise edition?If not can make use of Import wizard to transport objets from one system to other system.

We are currently on BO XI R3.1 and is connected to SAP BW system.

Hi Raj,

the LCM is not part of Edge version. Even if you have installation files, you are not able to connect that Edge against the LCM.

If you have installed another Edge (please consider having the right licenses, cause multiserver installations are not part of the simple Edge license!!!! The Edge Architectures are not supposed to have any DEV-->Prod Architecture!) you could move Content with the Import WIzard, that's right!

Be careful with all the options about overriding objects etc.!

And of course with the Import Wizard, it is no like in the BW where the objects you transport have changes in the source etc. This means you can import the objects in the platform, but you have to take the right source.

Hi Experts,

We are on Edge 3.1 and are looking for a version control tool. Since LCM is not available for Edge, is there any other tool recommended for version control purpose with BO? We are using Import Wizard to move reports/universes between environments.
